Given your background in Digital Humanities practices, your perspective is highly valued. Your expertise would directly shape the outputs of the LUMEN project: LUMEN is developing a new, collaborative open-science discovery platform, and we are seeking expert input from researchers across Social Sciences & Humanities, Mathematics, Molecular Dynamics, and Earth Systems to shape its functionality directly. This series is structured to be highly interactive and productive, offering a direct opportunity to influence the design of practical research tools. Rather than passive seminars, these sessions are collaborative efforts to co-design features such as advanced search capabilities, sophisticated recommendation engines, and data visualisation features. Your contributions will ensure the new platform aligns with the real needs of active researchers. The workshops are concise (two hours each) and will be conducted virtually, allowing for flexible participation. Dear EADH community, this is a kind reminder that the deadline for applications to the *EADH Small Grants (2025–2026)* is approaching. You have until *16 November 2025 (23:59 CET)* to submit your proposal. These grants are intended to support a wide range of activities, from organizing research-related events such as seminars or workshops, to covering travel expenses for collaborative work or for consulting collections in galleries, libraries, archives, or museums. They can also provide support for research time on new or ongoing projects, or for the purchase of equipment and software licenses directly related to a project. A maximum of *five grants of €1,000 each* will be awarded. The call is open to all current EADH members and members of our Associate Organizations (AIUCD, CzADH, DHd, DHNB), and we particularly encourage early-career researchers to apply. Coming at a time when universities also face ideological attacks, and disciplines in the arts and humanities are continually asked to demonstrate their modern relevance, the explosion in the use of generative AI tools has rocked how we teach and learn. The principal challenge comes from the ease with which learners can generate plausible-looking written work. Managing this puts a significant burden on institutions to develop policies around the use of AI, and on educators themselves. Consequently, many Higher Education institutions are exploring new ways to adapt and to develop AI-resilient methods of teaching, learning and assessment. This webinar will discuss alternatives that hold great potential in the face of AI: Project Based Learning (PBL) and digital humanities techniques. Drawing on real-life classroom experiences, we’ll see how introducing PBL through *Gale Digital Scholar Lab* provides a framework for teaching which is broadly AI-resistant, helping students to use GenAI responsibly and be critical of data, as well as giving them new ways of communicating in digital environments.
