Im Rahmen des laufenden Call for Papers laden wir zur Einreichung von in der Hochschullehre erprobten Lehrkonzepten zum Thema Textannotation ein. Abstracts (max. 300 Wörter) können ab sofort bis zum 31.10.2025 per Mail an redaktion(a)journal.fortext.org eingereicht werden. Unser Ziel ist es, vielfältige didaktische Ansätze und Anwendungsmöglichkeiten sichtbar zu machen und den offenen Austausch über die Rolle der Annotation in der Digital-Humanities-Lehre zu fördern. Dear colleagues, (we apologize for any cross-posting) We are pleased to announce the public conference “Connecting Scholar and Citizen: The Emerging Social and Cultural Role of the Repository”, to be held on Friday, 31 October 2025, at the Auditorium of the Botanical Garden in Padua (Italy). The event is jointly organized by the Universities of Vienna and Padua, coordinated by the University of Padua’s Library Centre (CAB), as part of the annual PHAIDRAcon meeting of the international PHAIDRA user community. The conference, open to everyone, offers an opportunity to explore how digital repositories are playing an increasingly important role in bridging academic research and society, through Third Mission/Knowledge enhancement/Public engagement projects, Citizen Science initiatives, and other forms of cultural engagement. Throughout the day, PHAIDRA partners will also present case studies on projects already completed or currently in progress. We are specifically looking for persons who have recently obtained a doctorate in the broad field of computational humanities (digital humanities, computer science for the humanities, computer science or data science with a focus on applications in the humanities, etc.), or who are about to obtain one before the starting date. At least 50% of the workload will be dedicated to personal and collective research, and to carrying out a personal research project in the broad field of computational humanities, particularly in the theoretical, historical, methodological, and applied dimensions. A maximum of 50% of working hours will be devoted to supporting teaching tasks in the Computer Science for the Humanities and Digital Humanities programs, and to participating in and organizing the scientific activities of the department. Dear colleague, now that proposals for the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations<https://adho.org/> (ADHO) annual conference DH2026: Engagement<https://dh2026.adho.org/> - to be held in Daejon, South Korea from July 27 to 31, 2026 - can be submitted, we want to invite you to serve as a reviewer for DH2026. Reviewing is both a valuable and much appreciated service to the DH community and an important responsibility. Reviewers will be asked to complete a minimum of four reviews in any of the submission formats available for the conference. In agreeing to review, candidates are expected to adhere to the ADHO Conference Code of Conduct<https://adho.org/conference/code-of-conduct/> and familiarize themselves with the ADHO Conference Evaluation Criteria<https://adho.org/2023/12/18/a-brief-explanation-of-the-revised-adho-confere…>.
