Dear Members of the Program Committee, we have finalized the first round of reviewer assignments, as you will have noticed with the e-mail you just received. We expect to receive a first batch of rejections in the coming days and will be reassigning these submissions on Wednesday. At this point, each submission has 4 reviews assigned. PC members have been attributed reviews manually - in some cases, because we have identified the submissions as problematic (no uploads, submissions in other languages,...). We have avoided assigning you too many reviews now in order to have more buffer to deal with the rejections on Wednesday. We will get back to you on Wednesday with an update! Reviewing process: calendar

Dear PC members, I am still in Graz where I had the opportunity to check on the conference venue - it is quite impressive and I look forward to meeting you all here in July! But before we can enjoy the conference, we have a few items on the to-do list... The reviewers will be assigned on Friday, November 11th (there are still a few details to finalize before we can get to it, like reviewers who haven't picked topics or people registered with several e-mail addresses...). The review period will last until December 15th. We are aiming at gathering 3 reviews for each short paper, poster or workshop and 4 reviews for each long paper or panel, that's 2595 reviews in total (to be written by 615 reviewers). It is very likely that we will miss a few of them when the review period is over. This means that for the PC the phase between *December 16th and December 22nd* will be particularly demanding since we will have to do all the missing reviews then, before opening the response phase. We just wanted to let you know this in advance so that you can get organized accordingly. We will get back to you to inform you on the progress of the reviewing process during the reviewing phase. Dear PC colleagues, More questions: 1. CFP on dh2023.adho.org * In the CFP it says, “Does the submission meet all formal criteria (abstract length, citation style, formatting etc.)?” * I couldn’t find anywhere where it says something about “citation style, formatting, etc”. 1. Conftool * In ConfTools, it says for a Short Presentation, “Please note that the additional 100 words of the maximum length of the abstract is intended for bibliography only”. But, on 2023 website and in ConfTools, it says that the proposal should be 500-750 words. * So, is the proposal supposed to be 600 words? In the past, it has been later and done separately, but I just wanted to make sure that I wasn’t missing a deadline." Is she correct that SIGs have their own workshop deadline?
