MUM 2025, the 24th International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia Enna, Italy, December 1-4, 2025 MUM 2025, the 24th International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia, will be held in Enna, Italy, December 1st –4th. MUM is an interdisciplinary forum for advances in research of mobile and ubiquitous multimedia systems, applications, and services. At MUM, academics and practitioners discuss challenges and achievements in this field from diverse perspectives, such as interaction techniques, user research, system development, software solutions, and devices. This edition of MUM aims to continue the tradition of innovation and excellence in research established by previous MUM conferences. We welcome submissions of high-quality papers that offer original and unpublished contributions relevant to mobile and ubiquitous multimedia. Dear all, The Emerging Digital Methodologies conference at the University of Oxford is currently calling for papers. The central goal of the conference is to bring together the many graduate students and early career researchers using digital and computational methodologies across the world. It is supported by the Jesus College Oxford Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub and Voltaire Foundation. The conference will capture a wide range of subject areas across the many communities of scholars taking-up digital methods – both from novices and expert practitioners. Research Associate (m/f/d) (EG 13 TV-L, 100%, limited until 31 October 2028) Scheduled to start in fall 2025 the positions are part of sub-project PAESE 3.0, which focuses on object and provenance data generated through the joint project Provenance Research in Ethnographic Collections in Lower Saxony (PAESE) 2018-2022. This data has been supplemented by research from other collections within Lower Saxony institutions. The project’s goal is to further develop this data regarding its potential applications for users, research questions, existing data infrastructures, and repositories, including the CCC portal (Collections from Colonial Contexts) of the German Digital Library. The sub-project is co-directed by Prof. Dr. Lynn Rother, Lichtenberg Professor for Provenance Studies and Director of the Provenance Lab at Leuphana University Lüneburg, and Dr. Claudia Andratschke, Coordinator of the Provenance Research Network in Lower Saxony, provenance researcher, and Head of the Collections and Research Department at Landesmuseum Hannover. Within the Science Space, PAESE data development is conducted in collaboration with two PhD positions: one at the Professorship of Computer Science with a focus on data analysis at Jade University of Applied Sciences Oldenburg (Prof. Dr. Sascha Koch), and another at the Professorship of Cartography and Geoinformatics at Leibniz University of Hanover (Prof. Dr. Monika Sester). The responsibilities of the two positions include: Data Development & Research: * Enrich and contextualize PAESE data, focusing on legacy information and implicit knowledge related to cultural attribution and geographic changes over time * Conduct requirement analysis for PAESE data development (addressing needs of scientific community, communities of origin, and other potential users) Project Coordination: * Provide scientific coordination of the sub-project (in consultation with sub-project leaders) * Coordinate collaborations with partners within and outside the Science Space * Manage and coordinate student assistants * Prepare schedules, budgets, reports, and other deliverables for the sub-project Outreach & Networking: * Conduct project-related public outreach through presentations at conferences and scientific publications * Develop best practice guidelines and science policy texts * Plan and execute project workshops * Network with national and international initiatives on colonial context collections (e.g., Colonial Provenances Working Group, Digitization Working Group of Arbeitskreis Provenienzforschung, Network Colonial Contexts, NFDI4Culture) Your profile: We encourage applications from candidates with either a humanities background, an informatics background, or expertise in both areas. Hi all, Late last year, ITHAKA made the decision to sunset Constellate<https://constellate.org/docs/constellate-sunset?ref=cms-prod.constellate.org>, our text analysis platform, on July 1, 2025. While we're proud of what Constellate accomplished in advancing computational literacy and text analysis skills, we concluded that we weren't achieving the broad-scale impact we had hoped for as a nonprofit organization. However, JSTOR has long supported text analysis research and will continue to do so. There is currently a job opening at the Department of Slavic Studies at the University of Graz for a Digital Humanities Project assistant (without doctorate) in the "Liminal Waters" CHANSE project: https://chanse.org/liminalwater/ Please also distribute this information to your networks. Essential: * Proficiency in spoken and written German and English (minimum B1) * Experience with a web-based CMS (content management system) * Experience with configuring and administrating a (preferably Linux-based) server * Knowledge of core GIS (Geographic Information Systems) concepts * Basic spreadsheet and desktop publishing skills) * Basic proofreading and copy-editing skills * Basic image editing skills (i.e. resizing and formatting image files) * General understanding of online maps and (online) content creation * International experience (work or study experience abroad) Desirable: * Proficiency in other languages (especially Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, German, Greek, French, and/or Portuguese) * Experience with GIS software experience (ie.
