The project will focus on standardizing and improving the Digital Scholarly Edition of Henrik Ibsen's Writings (HISe), and the ideal candidate has experience with TEI XML and a strong interest in textual editing and digital humanities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an ambitious DH-project at the intersection of literature and technology, and to work on one of the most influential playwrights in history. I am writing you to announce a deadline extension for the Second International Workshop of Semantic Digital Humanities, which will be held in Portoroz, Slovenia, on June 1st-2nd. I also remind you of travelling grant opportunities for students that present their contributions to the Workshop (more information below) I paste an excerpt of the call for paper with the link to the full version below. We invite all members of Semantic Web, CH and DH communities actively involved in the development of systematic approaches and advanced technologies for handling heterogeneous, diverse and challenging humanities data. This includes, but is not limited to, constructing and utilizing of knowledge graphs for the humanities, extracting and representing knowledge from historical texts, data linking across disciplines, enriching semantics of historical records and biographies, analyzing social networks, ontology adoption, extension and evaluation for specific domains. In addition, it includes the exploitation of recent technologies, e.g. LLM(s), in the context of semantic technologies, to tackle the diverse challenges associated with working with historical data. We welcome presentations that not only focus on technological endeavours but also explore the analysis of CH and DH data landscape through the perspective of philosophical, historical, social, and other research questions. Apart from research, resource and work-in-progress papers, we encourage the audience to submit panel proposals. By this, authors will be provided with a platform to share and discuss their challenges and/or showcase research findings by gaining immediate feedback from diverse perspectives encompassing computer science, humanities, and cultural heritage. *Call for Communications Manager* The European Association for Digital Humanities (EADH) seeks applicants for the role of Communications Manager. Working together with our Executive Committee, the Communications Manager will write news releases, maintain EADH's website, update its slider with new project descriptions, and disseminate news through our social media channels. The person fulfilling this role should anticipate spending approximately 2-3 hours per week on the position. The role comes with a small annual stipend of €2,000, paid in quarterly instalments. The role is well suited for those who wish to develop deeper knowledge of digital humanities in Europe and gain professional experience in social media and communications.
