Keynote speaker vote and meeting minutes
Dear PC members, Please find below the meeting minutes from our session on October 27. Due to the end of Daylight Saving Time, there was some variation in participants' connection times; thank you all for your understanding. I will ensure closer attention to time conversions in future communications. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RYFubDFVBIStFObL8Cca4TrBGhCl4LL4AmvBKISV... Also, an online voting system email from “OpaVote” will be sent to all *PC Voting members *as a separate email for keynote speaker votes. Please note the following: - The vote will be carried out via the OpaVote system. OpaVote will send individual voting emails to the addresses submitted to ADHO (in most cases, institutional addresses). *Please also check your spam folder.* - We are using the OpaVote system so that the PC Chairs do not know who voted for whom. This ensures a fully anonymous voting process. - Although this email is sent to the entire PC member mailing list, *only the designated delegates from each CO and the two PC Chairs (a total of 14 voting members)* will receive the OpaVote email and have the right to vote. - Voting will end this Friday (October 31st), 10pm Korean Standard Time. - If you do not receive a voting email from OpaVote (after also checking your spam folder), please contact me directly at *[email protected] <[email protected]>*. Thank you very much and let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Best wishes, Wonhee & Misun. Dear Wonhee and Misun, dear all, Sorry to have missed yesterday's meeting due to the shift to winter time in Europe. As I am not a voting member and missed the discussion, I would just like to express my support for the idea of asking Han Kang to deliver a keynote at DH2026. I think it would be a fabulous way of showcasing Korean literary life to the international DH community and would certainly be a very special moment in the conference for all attendees. And with another keynote and the Zampolli prize lecture, there would not be a lack of more immediately scholarly plenary sessions. Best wishes, Christof On 10/28/25 05:20, Wonhee Cho wrote:

Dear all, I obviously should have read the minutes first, before sending my email... ;-) I still think Han Kang would be great, but of course the local representatives will know best whether it is realistic to get her agreement. It doesn't hurt to ask, though! The other proposed speakers are of course excellent choices. And I do fully agree that it would be great to showcase Korean DH history and expertise, as well.
