Dear Wonhee,

sorry for piping in with a question for clarification, but I think there is a slight error in the definitions below:

I believe that “single open review” should be “single blind review”?

Which means that the identity of the submitting authors is known to the reviewers,

but the reviewers’ identities remain anonymous to the submitting authors.

(as has been the practice at ADHO DH conferences until the late 2010s).

Kind regards,
Walter

Betreff: [PC2026] Vote for the DH2026 Review method

Dear Members of the PC list,

Using the service provided by OpaVote (https://opavote.com/), we will be conducting a vote on the review methodology for DH2026. Following the previous models, the options are as follows:

  1. Double Anonymous (Blind) Review

Both submissions and reviewers remain anonymous.

  1. Single Open Review

Submissions remain anonymous, but the names of the reviewers are disclosed (this has been the model used in previous DH conferences).

  1. Open Review

Both submissions and reviewers are disclosed.

Please note the following:

  • The vote will be carried out via the OpaVote system. OpaVote will send individual voting emails to the addresses submitted to ADHO (in most cases, institutional addresses). Please also check your spam folder.
  • Unlike last year, we are using the OpaVote system so that the PC Chairs do not know who voted for which option. This ensures a fully anonymous voting process.
  • Although this email is sent to the entire PC list, only the designated delegates from each CO and the two PC Chairs (a total of 14 voting members) will receive the OpaVote email and have the right to vote.
  • Please submit your vote within 48 hours of receiving the OpaVote email.
  • If you do not receive a voting email from OpaVote (after also checking your spam folder), please contact me directly at wonheecho@gmail.com.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Misun and Wonhee
