The PC has decided to extend the nomination period for keynote speakers by ten days, until October 21 (KST). Although this decision is recorded in the meeting minutes, we would like to highlight the following discussion for emphasis.

----

Keynote Nomination Discussion
  1. It was noted that one of the keynote or plenary lectures of the conference will be given by the Antonio Zampolli Prize recipient, in accordance with the Award Protocol.
  2. The committee acknowledged that, although not required, there has often been a keynote speaker nominated by the local organizing committee to represent the state of Digital Humanities in the host country.
  3. The committee further noted that previous DH conferences have also invited keynote speakers from outside the ADHO community, and that this precedent should be taken into account during the nomination process.
  4. Based on these considerations, it was agreed that there may be up to three keynote speakers in total. In that case, attention should be given to gender balance and diversity of representation in the nomination process.
