Hi All,

I’d be happy to participate in discussions on these fronts and I see a value in opening any discussions to the community. Past PC/LO/CCC chairs and members could especially have valuable input.

Subject: Re: [Pc2023] DHQ publication on DH conferences

Dear all,

Anne and Toma anticipates my raising this article now in preview, which also generated some responses on twitter but more importantly a discussion that started at the EB meeting this morning and will continue in the coming weeks. The CCC was tasked to write a brief recommendation to the EB-COB and we would very much welcome your comments and feedbacks. (As you know, the CCC makes recommendations but decisions are made by the COB with input from the EB, which in turn implements these decisions.) The CCC is also happy to set up a “live” conversation about this issue if this might be easier for people to exchange on the topic. (I am of course aware that it is August 9th and not everyone reads their emails.)

With best wishes,

Michael, chair of the CCC

Dear PC members,

you might have heard of a freshly published DHQ paper dealing with the organization of DH conferences: https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.digitalhumanities.org%2Fdhq%2Fvol%2F16%2F4%2F000643%2F000643.html%23&data=05%7C01%7Cmichael.eberle.sinatra%40umontreal.ca%7Cc6705fd749c1422d939f08da7a135d8f%7Cd27eefec2a474be7981e0f8977fa31d8%7C1%7C0%7C637956520837756452%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=AFjtL1JJGjoOm1NbJZDbXldYi3CrpVR3neuUrbSFP%2B8%3D&reserved=0

It raises a series of issues related to our common endeavor in this committee, and we would like to know if you would want to discuss any of them before we publish the Call for Papers at the end of the month.

All best,

Anne and Toma
