Invitation to participate in the LUMEN Co-Design Workshop Series
To whom it may concern, Apologies for cross posting, As a member of the University of Bologna team involved in the LUMEN project, I am pleased to share the following invitation from the LUMEN <https://lumenproject.eu/> team to take part in one or more workshops within a crucial co-design initiative: the LUMEN Co-Designing Workshop Series <https://lumenproject.eu/learn-connect-innovate-co-designing-workshop-serie/?et_fb=1&PageSpeed=off>, running from October to December. Given your background in Digital Humanities practices, your perspective is highly valued. Your expertise would directly shape the outputs of the LUMEN project: LUMEN is developing a new, collaborative open-science discovery platform, and we are seeking expert input from researchers across Social Sciences & Humanities, Mathematics, Molecular Dynamics, and Earth Systems to shape its functionality directly. This series is structured to be highly interactive and productive, offering a direct opportunity to influence the design of practical research tools. Rather than passive seminars, these sessions are collaborative efforts to co-design features such as advanced search capabilities, sophisticated recommendation engines, and data visualisation features. Your contributions will ensure the new platform aligns with the real needs of active researchers. The workshops are concise (two hours each) and will be conducted virtually, allowing for flexible participation. The topics of the workshops that will be conducted are: - Visualisation & Data Representation Tools - Recommendation & Personalisation - Interdisciplinary Resource Discovery - Data Mesh - Data Integration & Interoperability - Advanced Search & Filtering Capabilities - LUMEN Chatbot - Meta-Search & Discovery Tools - Updating the User Profile - Software Tools Catalogue - Educational Resources & Training Modules - Data Quality & Metadata Management If you are interested in influencing directly the next generation of European research infrastructure, please review the session details and register your interest here: https://lumenproject.eu/learn-connect-innovate-co-designing-workshop-serie/ We hope you can join this important conversation. Warm regards, Valentina Pasqual, PhD /DH.arc, Digital Humanities Advanced Research Centre, Department of Classic Philology and Italian Studies, Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna
