Dear colleagues, (we apologize for any cross-posting) We are pleased to announce the public conference “Connecting Scholar and Citizen: The Emerging Social and Cultural Role of the Repository”, to be held on Friday, 31 October 2025, at the Auditorium of the Botanical Garden in Padua (Italy). The event is jointly organized by the Universities of Vienna and Padua, coordinated by the University of Padua’s Library Centre (CAB), as part of the annual PHAIDRAcon meeting of the international PHAIDRA user community. The conference, open to everyone, offers an opportunity to explore how digital repositories are playing an increasingly important role in bridging academic research and society, through Third Mission/Knowledge enhancement/Public engagement projects, Citizen Science initiatives, and other forms of cultural engagement. Throughout the day, PHAIDRA partners will also present case studies on projects already completed or currently in progress.
