Calling all PhD students: Survey on DH training needs
[we apologise for cross-posting] Dear colleagues, the DARIAH Working Group "Community Engagement" is currently conducting a short survey among PhD students in the context of a small research project. The project aims at identifying DH training needs for PhD students from various disciplines and with different levels of expertise. As diverse as the field of DH is, as diverse are the training needs for students entering the field from various backgrounds. If you are a PhD student using DH tools or interested in using them, we would love to hear from you about your training needs, skills and awareness of existing resources: https://survey.academiccloud.de/index.php/832776?lang=en Participating in our survey might be a possibility for you to attend a workshop in Mainz, Germany, for in-person focus group interviews and joint evaluation of existing training material on 2 and 3 February 2023. In the selection process for the workshop, we will consider various disciplines, different levels of expertise, and individuals' availability and willingness to attend the workshop. In-person interviews will help develop a more complete picture of the training needs of researchers in this phase of their career. If you encounter any issues or have questions about the survey, please feel free to contact us: community_engagement@dariah.eumailto:community_engagement@dariah.eu We are of course very grateful if you spread the survey in your networks. Many thanks for your help! Michael, Špela, and Joëlle https://dariahre.hypotheses.org/working-groups/community-engagement
