Dear all,

We’re pleased to share a new study option at the University of Bern: the MA Major in Digital Humanities, launching in Spring 2026.

This program brings together humanities, culture, and computation. Students will learn to work with real-world datasets and projects - developing skills in data curation and analysis, digital publishing, and project management - while building a strong critical foundation for roles across cultural heritage, research, public sector, and industry.

Special qualifications include areas such as Digital Scholarly Editing and Computational Literary Studies, Digital Sociolinguistics, Digital Histories, Digital Culture Studies, and Data Science
