Dear colleagues, allow me to share this call for participation with you: Computer Vision has become a very relevant skill for many Digital Humanists, but it is hard to distinguish how we can best budget our time and efforts to engage with this new technology. The 3-day school "Computer Vision for Digital Humanists" - hosted by the Centre for Information Modelling at the University of Graz and funded by CLARIAH-AT - will provide a conceptual introduction to the processes involved, coupled with hands-on exercises that focus on the ways that we, as humanists, can curate content and manage metadata to make the best use of new tools available. For further information, see https://informationsmodellierung.uni-graz.at/en/institute/events/call-for-pa... and https://static.uni-graz.at/fileadmin/gewi-zentren/Informationsmodellierung/P... . How to apply: To be considered for participation in this workshop please submit a one page CV and letter of interest (one page max.) addressing the following: * Why are you interested in attending this workshop? * How will the skills learned improve your scholarship? * What is your academic background and research specialization? * Do you have access to funding for travel to Graz and accommodation? Application materials can be emailed to sean.winslow@uni-graz.atmailto:sean.winslow@uni-graz.at The application deadline is 6. January 2023. The School itself will be hosted on-site at the University of Graz, February 8-10, 2023.
