Dear fellow DH-ers, Digital Humanities Network Potsdam invites you to another 'Code & Culture' online lecture on June 4. This time, we'll have Prof. Lev Manovich (CUNY), a prominent theorist of digital culture and the author of the term 'Cultural Analytics'. Title: Thinking about Culture (not) as Data Abstract: Why do we often approach cultural data using ideas developed in the 18th and 19th century, before digital computers and big data? Can we think about cultural objects and histories without using categories? What can AI see in cultural artefacts, and what it remains blind to?
