Apologies for any cross-posting

We invite you to participate in a survey as part of an ongoing study conducted by the Leverhulme Centre for Research on Slavery in War (CRSW). The study aims to better understand how researchers who use digital methods to examine slavery (both historical and modern) and/or war carry out their work.

We are interested in the resources and methods currently used across different disciplines, and in how digital research infrastructure could support the exploration of the nexus between slavery and war. Your insights will directly inform the tools and resources we develop to support the research community in this area.

The CRSW brings together researchers from different disciplines working to assess and explain slavery in war zones from the Haitian Revolution (1791) to the present day. Our work involves developing innovative digital tools and methodologies, harmonising contemporary and historical datasets, and applying methods such as machine learning to diverse sources including survivor narratives, oral histories, and memoirs.

We would be grateful if you could take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete our survey by following the link below:

All responses will be treated confidentially and used solely for research purposes. If you have any questions about the study, please do not hesitate to contact us at maribel_hidalgo.urbaneja@kcl.ac.uk

Thank you in advance for your time and contribution.

Kind regards,

Maribel
