Dear Colleagues,

You are cordially invited to the 4th annual of the conference Humanities and Social Sciences from the Perspective of Digital Humanities, which will take place on 5th–6th November 2026 at the Department of Czech Studies, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University Olomouc (Křížkovského 512/10, 779 00 Olomouc 9, Czech Republic). As in the previous years, we are preparing an interdisciplinary conference dedicated to the field of digital humanities, not only in literary studies and linguistics but across all humanities or social science disciplines. The 2026 edition will thus build on our experience with facilitating a broad discussion without a single overarching theme. The discussion shall highlight various possibilities for the application of digital technologies in humanities and social sciences research and practice.
We believe that maximum openness and friendliness, along with the mutual exchange of knowledge across different fields, form the fundamental contribution and usefulness of our meeting. Therefore, as always, we welcome proposals on any topic in the field of digital humanities (DH).

Among the possible, but by no means required, topics, we offer the following suggestions that might inspire your contribution to the debate:

Please send your proposals by the end of August 2026 via the form on the conference website: https://www.korpusprozy.com/DH_conference_web/conference_web.html.

The conference is free of charge. Presentations may be given in Czech, Slovak, or English. Participants are responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation expenses. The conference will also include an informal gathering after the first day of sessions.

We will send you the conference program, which you can also view on the conference website (see the link above). The book of abstracts will also be available for download. Should you be interested, it will be possible to publish the conference papers in the journal Bohemica Olomucensia

Thank you for your interest and your proposals.

Sincerely,

the organising team.
