CFP: Current Keywords in Digital Literary Culture (DLC+)

Dear CSDH Community, Digital Literary Cultures (DLC)+ is excited to announce the launch of our inaugural Current Keywords in Digital Literary Culture, an ongoing series of mini-conferences devoted to studying the most pressing and emerging concepts actively shaping digital literary culture. In 2025-2026, Current Keywords in Digital Literary Culture will host two virtual mini-conferences consisting of four thematically-linked keywords actively shaping digital literary culture in the very online, very present moment. We are working at the bleeding edge of culture, and these mini-conferences are designed to be intimate, safe, and collaborative spaces to think with others about what we see emerging, as it is emerging. To that end, the conference will be held on a single day, with a morning panel on one keyword and afternoon panel on another. For each keyword, we are soliciting submissions for four 10-minute papers that will be pre-circulated in order to facilitate timely conversations about the pressing issues in digital literary culture today. Our aim is to invite conversation across the papers and across the keywords through a day spent reading and thinking together. For our inaugural Keywords Sessions, our selections ask potential participants to touch on these dynamics via the following keywords shaping digital literary culture today: smut and lore. CFP: Digital Studies/Le champ numérique special conference issue

The Canadian Society for Digital Humanities/Société canadienne des humanités numériques will be publishing a refereed selection of papers from the 2025 CSDH/SCHN Conference in Digital Studies/Le champ numérique. The issue will be co-edited by Paul Barrett and Dan O’Donnell and will be completed in May 2026. Submissions are invited from all participants attending the meeting, including panels and digital demonstrations. Authors may supplement, expand on, or refine the material they presented at the conference. It is expected that most submissions will range from between 3000 to 7500 words (approx 10-26 pages), but there is no minimum or maximum length. Digital Studies/Le champ numérique is also always willing to consider generically unusual submissions. DS/CN publishes content on a rolling basis, with pieces appearing as soon as the editorial workflow is complete. The expected timeline for this issue is as follows: · October 30th: Submissions due · November 15th – January 15th: Editorial decisions (on a rolling basis as the reviews come in) · February 1 -- March 28th: Revisions due (rolling basis) · March 1 -- April 30th: Copy-editing and manuscript preparation (rolling) · April 1 – May 30th: Proofing (rolling) · May 30th: Last articles published. Submissions should be in a contemporary word processing format (Word or Open/Libre Office preferred), LaTeX, (X)HTML, or TEI XML. Bibliographic citations should conform to the latest Chicago Manual of Style(author-date format). DS/CN style avoids foot/endnotes as much as possible. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any images or similar material in their manuscripts before submission. Submissions are due by October 30th, 2025, and should be submitted electronically through the DS/CNwebsite (http://digitalstudies.org/) When submitting, choose “Articles” and please add a comment on the submission form indicating that your paper relates to the 2025 CSDH/SCHN conference proceedings. Dear CSDH / SCHN community, I'm pleased to announce the results of our election: Member-at-large: Chelsea Miya Student representative: Parham Aledavood, June Yao. The results have been published via Election Runner. Harvey Quamen has been acclaimed to the position of President, Vera Zoricic to the position of VP EDID, and Rebecca Dowson to the position of Treasurer. Rebecca will work alongside Jason Boyd for one year. We would like to thank all of the excellent candidates who put their name forward for these positions.
