actually, I'm working with exactly the expression of "digital X" in 
researching and reporting on curricular developments in the DH. "X" here 
stands for the traditional subjects. Like philology, literature studies, 
history, archaeology, philosophy etc. Thus describing and distinguishing 
that DH as a teaching program might on the one hand be "itself" and on 
the other hand the digital transformation of "something else" = X.
