greetings all! I would like to point to two rarely referred to early texts re systems theories/approaches with regard to epistemology and digitality: Anthony Welden, System and Structure: Essays in Communication and Exchange. 1972. Rpt. Routledge, 2001. & Bela Zalai, A rendszerek altalanos elmelete (General Theory of Systems). Gondolat, 1984. Welden's 1972 book includes a chapter "Analog and Digital Communication: On Negation, Signification, and Meaning" and Zalai's book is a collection of his publications 1904-1914, interesting because of early systems thinking re philosophy, ethics, logic, etc.
